Does it really matter if the dog is going to be running field trials or hunting only? If the trainer is training the dog to do marks, even huge marks, hunt for birds and work on casts, (which trialing trainers work on) ... won't that make a better hunting dog. One that can do some big work? Unless you settle for less it doesn't
